Necropolis

 

A Necropolis is a roman burial site. This word is broken into two parts the prefix Necro- in Latin means dead.The suffix -polis in Greek means city. So the word Necropolis literaly means a dead city. Often times the Romans would bury items with the bodies such as pottery, jewelry, items related to their trade, or anything the people thought their relatives would need in the after-life. Whenever archieologists find a Necropolis it shows them a complex picture of what that group of people belived and how they lived. This word was found on 10/20/06 under the headline of Ancient Burial Ground Found in Rome.

An interloper is an unwanted guest that does not ask to come. Another word for interloper is intruder. Someone who intrudes on the privacy or property of another without permission. Interloper is somone that is evesdroping, spying or doing many other things to invade somone's privacy. They just barge right in without permission!

Terra Cotta is a reddish-brown clay that is used for things like pottery and bowls.

Churst

 

Churst is another word for excited in London.

Biometrics

 

Are a way of identifying someone by their biological features and behaviors, such facial features, iris patterns, or voice patterns.

They are being used for everything from credit cards to keyless cars to handguns that can only be fired by the owner. Here's a related story
